Today, we are going to find out how to make donuts but this is a new version of the donut – a strawberry jam donut. I believe this version will make you surprisingly amazed. Now, let’s do it!
1/2 cup of all purpose flour
1/6 cup of sugar
1 & 1/4 teaspoons of instant yeast
1g of salt
1/3 cup of warm milk
1 & 1/2 tablespoons of melted butter
1 egg yolk
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
How to make a strawberry jam donut
Step 1: Put 1/2 cup of all purpose flour, 1/6 cup of sugar, 1 & 1/4 teaspoons of instant yeast, 1g of salt in a big bowl. Mix them well with a whisk.
Step 2: Add 1/3 cup of warm milk, 1 & 1/2 tablespoons of melted butter, 1 egg yolk, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix them until we cannot see any dry flour. And then, use a plastic wrap to cover the bowl. Set aside in about 15 mins
Step 3: Add 3/4 cup of dry flour to the bowl or until the dough does not stick to the mixing bowl and to your hands. Then, knead the dough for about 10 mins to have a better dough. And use a plastic wrap to cover the bowl, and then wait for it to be doubled in volume.
Step 5: Scatter the dry flour on the place that you are about to put the dough on, put the dough on this place, use the dough roller to roll it to 1cm thick.
Step 6: Take a round cookie cutter to cut into small pieces. Move the donuts on a parchment paper, and let them double in size.
Step 7: Bake them at 350F until they have a golden color. When baking is done, take them out of the oven, and put melted butter on the outside of them. And then, roll them in sugar.
Step 8: Use a small knife to cut a small hole into the donut, then put the strawberry jam into the piping bag, and fill the donut with the jam. Do the same steps with other donuts.
