When I see crocheted natural summer bag, I can feel summer in the air. It always recalls the feeling of beach vacations, which are vital in summer. However, these crafted bags are usually pretty pricey (I mean, you don’t need to pay $50 for a bag that you just use once or twice times a year). Instead, why not try to make it by yourself? The process is so fun and meaningful. Scroll down and I show you how to create a crocheted natural summer bag.
Here are some of the abbreviations that I use for the guideline below
St (s) = stitch (es)
Ch (s) = chain stitch (es)
Sc = single crochet
Dc = double crochet
Materials for the bag
2 one-ounce skeins of Fique yarn in white
1 one-ounce skein of Fique yarn in yellow
One crochet hook U.S. size F (3.75mm)
Start making the bag with the yellow skein, ch 34.
Dc from the hook through 4th ch. Function 1 row in dc. Shift to natural yarn color. Ch 3, twist.
Keep on with 28 rows in dc. Fold the rectangle in half, top edges together, and st sides of the bag together.
To form the bag, reeve the yellow one at the edge and ch 180. Stitch the edge with the other one from the same side.
Finish all of them with sc one row.
On the other side, do all the same above steps to have a second strap.
If you are a beginner in this section, don’t be panic if you make some mistakes from the start. Practice makes perfect, we all know that, right? Be patient with yourself, keep learning and practice and you’ll get surprised with yourself.
