When it comes to desserts around the world, we cannot talk about the waffle. So, today, we are going to find out how to make classic Belgian waffles at home with a simple recipe. Now, let’s get started!
120g all-purpose Flour
1/2 tablespoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 cup of the whole milk
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
How to make classic Belgian waffle at home
Put 120g Flour, 1/2 Tablespoon of Baking Powder, 1/4 Teaspoon of Salt, and 1 Tablespoon of Sugar into a big bowl. And then, mix them well with a whisk. Set aside. (When we use baking powder, it will save a lot of time.)
Step 2: Separate the egg, we will put the egg yolk in the above mixture, and the egg white in the other bowl.
Step 3: Add 50ml Oil, 1 Cup of whole Milk, and ½ Teaspoon of Vanilla extract into the bowl which has egg yolk, and the mixture. Use the whisk, and mix them until we cannot see any dry flour.
Step 4: Use a hand-held mixer to make whipped egg white in about 4 mins or until having double volume. You also can mix them by hand, but it will take you longer.
Step 5: When the whipped egg white is done, you can put it in the batter, and fold them slightly to let the air in, so we can have a thicker and fluffy form for the best waffle.
Step 6: Turn heat the waffle iron, and you can add a little bit of melted butter or oil, so that the outside of the waffle will not stick to the iron.
Step 7: Take about ½ cup of the batter, and put into the iron, then flip it, and cook for 6-10mins or until it has a golden brown color. Do the same with the left-over batter.
Step 8: Serve the waffles on a dish, you can add some fruits and maple syrup. A classic Belgian waffle dish is ready for you to enjoy!
