Making Healthy And Appetizing Miso Soup At Home

Today, we are going to discover one of the best Japanese dishes, and it is miso soup. We will do this appetizing soup for different versions with easy and simple instructions.  Now, let’s start!


25g of kombu

5 cups of water

40g of dried bonito flakes

8 manila clams

2 ½ tablespoons of miso

2 small daikon

50g of cabbage

20g of mushroom

How to make healthy and appetizing miso soup at home

Recipe 1: Clam miso soup

Step 1: Take 25g of kombu, and make it clean by a towel. Then, soak them in a bowl of 5 cups of water.

Step 2: Turn the heat on to boil the water and kombu. But, take out the kombu before the water boils.

Step 3: Add 40g of dried bonito flakes, and boil on the medium heat for about 45 secs. Then, turn the stove off and leave it there for about 5 mins.

Step 4: Use the sieve to separate the dashi. Next, use 3 cups of dashi, 8 manila clams, turn the heat on and boil them.

Step 5: Turn the heat off, and then add 2 ½ tablespoons of miso. That’s how we have clam miso soup.

Recipe 2: Daikon soup

Step 1: Follow the same steps from 1 to 3 to have dashi

Step 2: Cut the daikon into small pieces, and add them to 3 cups of dashi. Until it boils, add 2 ½ tablespoons of miso. How easy it is to have daikon miso soup.

Recipe 3: Cabbage soup

Step 1: Do the same things from step 1 to step 3 to have 3 cups of dashi.

Step 2: Boil the dashi, and add 50g of cabbage and 20g of mushroom. Until all of them are fully cooked, turn the heat off and put 2 tablespoons of miso.
